Overbored was born out of failure: the failure to make others happy at the expense of our own voice, the failure to be complacent anywhere that was safe (and covered our bills), and the failure to give up on doing something we love.
We like to tell stories and reveal the pieces of truth that connect us all via conversation and imagery. We believe that through the power of sharing what drives our ambitions, as well as the people and the lessons we've learned along the way, we can break down the invisible barriers that separate us from one another. It can be hard to motivate yourself when you're comparing your efforts to someone else's final product; we are determined to show the steps, triumphs, and struggles behind those who inspire us in order to spark inspiration and discussion amongst our readers. It's said if you read you live a thousand lives, but all too often we attribute the notion to fiction. We forget that outside of the pages of imagination, all around us, there's a world teeming with stories waiting to be told.
We may be new but we've got a lot of practice within our bones. We're still figuring a few things out, experimenting to see what works and doesn't, and learning new skills out of necessity. It's easier to succumb to failure but we're overbored with the mundane, the sales pitches, the same old answers. We're hungry for more, and hope you are too. Get in touch.
