Main Fest: Miami Horror + !!!

Downtown Alhambra transformed from its usual sleepy San Gabriel suburb to a musical destination for fans that enjoy stomping their feet and getting their boogie on. The search for top-notch food the city is famous for was transformed to a hunt for glowsticks once the sun went down and the lighting set up kicked into gear. Headlined by radio favorites Capital Cities, the festival also featured local artists such as T.O.L.D., Draemings, Veronica Bianqui, and Dancing Tongues in venues up and down the closed-off strip.

Marc Baker and SWIMM helped warm the crowd up until Dead Sara rocked as hard as they always do. Nite Funk, a project between Nite Jewel and Dâm-Funk who finally joined forces after teasing a collaboration for years, brought forth the groove until !!! showed up with their spectacular and out-of-this-world dance moves. Miami Horror, the ones we were most excited to see, proved why they're a festival favorite with infectious energy and charisma. Meanwhile, DJ's kept another dance floor ready for when patrons wanted to take a break from the crowd. In the middle of it all, a climbing wall was erected for some good people dropping watching.

Capital Cities closed out the night with covers and the crowd singing along to their hits. Most impressively, they stayed after their set for an extended period of time to interact with everyone, talking music and taking photos.
