Cass McCombs at Music Hall of Williamsburg

In support of his eighth studio album Mangy Love, Cass McCombs once again hit the road road across America to play to fans old and new alike. On his second to last stop before flying out for a European leg, McCombs invaded Brooklyn with his layered and wistful lyricism.

The room was already crowded shoulder-to-shoulder as Delicate Steve closed out his set for the evening. When Cass hit the stage, he dove right into "Opposite House," the song many had been yearning to hear live since they first discovered it mere weeks before. The single set the tone for the nature of his latest album, a tome that tackles a wealth of sociopolitical issues. When performing "Medusa's Outhouse," Delicate Steve returned back onto the stage to perform alongside McCombs before returning the spotlight back to the man of the hour.
